About Us
Gadfly Theatre is a network of artists committed to the production of new plays that encourage action outside the theater by eliciting personal response within it. The company was founded on the belief that theatre can be used effectively as an instrument of change in the world without sacrificing the inherent beauty of drama or the intimacy of live performance. We perform entirely original work as a launchpad for engagement with a variety of human concerns and as a catalyst for action fueled by individual response. Through performance, we hope to provide an opportunity for change - both to ourselves and the world around us; we do not aim to shape beliefs, but to encourage behavior based on them.
